International Federation of Sleddog Sports
A word from the Minister of Tourism

Everyone interested in this unique, traditional mode of transportation is invited to the Chaudière-Appalaches region to enjoy a remarkable international race. The Internationaux de traîneau à chiens du Canada (International Sleddog Championship of Canada) is a great opportunity to discover and enjoy this discipline, which requires tremendous complicity between man and animal. Some one hundred teams along with their dogs will be competing in this World Cup stage of the International Federation of Sleddog Sports (IFSS) World Championships, taking place in Norway.

In addition to spotlighting Québec's winter season, this competition attracts participants and spectators from around the world. Thrilled fans will look on as the competitors and their faithful companions face off in this fast-paced race in the enchanting setting of the Parc régional des Appalaches and the counties of Montmagny and Etchemins.

I would like to congratulate the organizers and volunteers whose outstanding efforts are key to the success of this event. I also wish the best of luck to all those taking part in the various races
